Level 1: What are Guilds?

Welcome to Guilds in Pixels! Guilds are a way for players to play together and compete against each other for in-game resources and territory. At the end of this Superquest you will be rewarded with 300 Pixels Reputation points as well as a YGG Achievement Badge.

In future updates to guilds in Pixels there will be ranks associated with your placement in the guild. This can allow guilds to designate different land permissions to each rank. The higher your rank within a specific guild the more opportunities you have to gather limited resources and yield rarer items.

Pixels is a game with new features added every week - guilds will play a big part in how players interact with the games and new Chapter 2 features. Joining your favorite guild will not only allow you to play together with friends and make new ones, but it will also give you an advantage in obtaining rare high-tiered resources. These resources will allow you to hand in better $PIXEL tasks on your taskboard.

Contests will be introduced where guilds will go head to head in challenges to win ownership over lands and areas for a set amount of time. Examples of challenges could be: resource collecting races, mini-games, crafting leaderboards etc.

The resources won by guilds will then be redistributed to guild members so it pays to join the most competitive guilds.

Another benefit of joining a guild is that guilds can lock their lands so that only members of that guild can use them. This means that that land’s resources, farmland, industries etc. can only be used if you are a membership shard holder. Some lands and guilds may opt to not lock at all so that everyone can participate. Of course you can always use your speck (your own non-nft land), but options become more limited without guild membership.

You can watchlist a guild on the Pixels dashboard to show your interest. It’s worth researching guilds by finding their social media profiles or learning what guilds your friends are a part of. Each guild will have its own unique vibe and ethos - some will be hyper-competitive, some will be laid back and casual, and others will be focused on helping its members with tutorials and support systems. Find the guild that is right for you!
